Joshi entered motion pictures very by some coincidence. She was a companion of the lady of the hour of Aditya Chopra, the child of chief Yash Chopra. The family seen her at their wedding and approached her to show up for a tryout, following which they cast her in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai. Not being conversant in Hindi, she prepared in Hindi style and in acting at Feroz Khan’s studio.
